Commercial Printing Overview

Color World of Printing was originally founded by Jay Watson in 1970, as "Kwik Kopy Printers", a drive-up copy shop on Fifth Street in Springfield, Illinois and was managed by his mother Jerri. After about a year, Jay purchased a larger offset printing company in Jacksonville, Illinois, called "The Village Printer" which expanded the organization's printing capabilities to a full service commercial printing company.

After several years of expansion, the Jacksonville shop was merged with Kwik Kopy, in Springfield, Illinois and moved to a new location on Dirksen Parkway, renaming the combined businesses to "Color World of Printing."

Shortly thereafter, a number of four color offset printers were purchased with sheet size capabilities of 17" x 22" and featured full color printing as a specialty. Since then, Color World of Printing has added full digital four color print on demand ability, a design department and sales staff.

Today, Color World of Printing, at 620 South Dirksen Parkway, Springfield, Illinois, offers a wide range of printing from post cards, to posters, brochures, newsletters, 2-5 part NCR forms, accommodating just about anything that can be printed on paper.
